One experience in our old Kingdom Hall that still HAUNTS me
by Newly Enlightened inthe following is a true experience and my daughter gojira101 will verify that it happened to her.
an experience from our family's past that still haunts me and started my questioning whether this is the true organization of god or not.. my daughter, who has always been a good kid, never gave us any problems [she's an adult now] started regular pioneering.
within a few weeks of her starting, she fell on a steep hill and tore open her knee and had to have several stitches.

Oh my goodness. How unloving and RUDE. I know there are thousands out there just like us that have these horrible traumatic things happen to them. I know now that it is not just our family that they were 'picking' on. It's ALL who are critical thinkers, that they know they cannot control!
I feel for all of you dear brothers and sisters and thank you for making us all feel welcome to this site. I pray that Jehovah and Jesus help you all in your struggle.

....and may I add my 2 cents worth. Something I heard on a CD/audio tape from this past summer's District convention that got me to thinking seriously. Sat morning @ 9:40 [I believe it was] the 2 part symposium on 'Motivating right-hearted ones to love their- Spiritual mother'
The CO makes this statement, and I quote word for word "The bible by itself does not shine thru as life-giving truths just by itself." Publisher: "That's why Jehovah provides us with the organization- our mother."

One nice thing about not being able to actually attend without all the distractions and have to rely on CD's made by our congregation is that I can actually pick up on things being said.
If I had made this same statement about the bible last year, I would be marked an apostate and DF'd
This should make all of the current JW's think seriously. Not that I'm trying to sway anyone to stay or go. I'm just asking y'all to think.

Hi Vienna and welcome to the forum. My family & I are still current JW's. Because of chemical poisoning, several of us can no longer attend meetings, assemblies, service etc. Because of that, we were FORCED to become inactive. But started having 'doubts' when we saw the lack of love and understanding. My own mother-in-law told me that since I could not live up to my dedication to Jehovah anymore that I would die at armeggedon. So we started doing research and OH BOY!
CoC is a really good start.
Research as much as you can. www.JWfacts.com is a good start.
I made the mistake last week of telling my mom that I just didn't know how much longer I could take some of this 'new light' the GB was handing out and her & my sister started telling everyone that I had disassociated myself and launched a slander campaign on Facebook. So now, even though I am still considered just an inactive JW, thanks to my family, none of my friends & family will talk to me, including my mom.

it still feels like it was yesterday.. so my family and i moved out of our old hall and wanted to start new because of the crap we all went through in the old hall.

Or like someone posted on our other post, the elders wife withheld 'marital dues' until hubby got rid of the 'real interpreter and threat.'
But interestingly, Bro Doofus's son went to nursing school and started missing alot of meetings also, but was still qualified to pass microphones whenever he did manage to show up for a meeting

XElder- I wouldn't hold what you've done in the past against you because you appear to feel regret for being 'that kind of elder", but you can probably see the systemic problem in the entire org.
mamochan13- I feel for you to be treated like that. That was dispicable.
Clarity- What a horrible sicko thing to do to a 5 yr old. That brother needs therapy. I read an article not too long ago from a pschologist [ I know I butchered the spelling] that Jehovah's Witnesses were raising a generation of future serial killers. YIKES! that's scary.
JWOP- I'm glad you found this site. We always hear so many of these 'horror' stories.
Blues Brother- The BOE used a 'local needs' section from the KM part to do this talk in. I don't know if it was a 'marking' talk or just a local needs. All I know is that it traumatized a 16 yr old girl who was upset for weeks.
PinkSapphire- How horrible for you to go thru all that. Let me guess, some of those that went inside the club and enjoyed themselves and nothing happened to, were elders kids?
When my husband who will probably post as EX Ministerial servant & Reg pioneer, gets up the nerve and has time, he's got some horror stories of how they kept taking his privleges away.

[Readers digest condensed version] after 30+ yrs of this same kind of crap, we were tired of it.
If you ever go to jwstruggle.com I posted as New Dissident on there and gave my story. Chemically poisoned, can't go to meetings etc. Treated like a loser and apostate. A dear friend [current JW] came for a visit and my husband made the comment that "JW's are the most self-deceived people on the planet". Then our friend just made a couple of comments and asked us questions, so we started researching the internet and oh holy crap!
We just took our daughter and son-in-law out to lunch and started talking about our doubts that this was God's organization and they listened. I thank God everyday that they are smart enough to see the organization for what it really is
